Deutsche Krebshilfe funds innovative research project on papillary thyroid c

The Deutsche Krebshilfe funds MSU with a grant to study papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC) - one of the most common types of thyroid cancer. In collaboration with Prof. Thomas Musholt and Prof. Roth at UMC Mainz, the MSU aims to comprehensively analyze at least 20 matching normal vs tumour tissue samples by employing various omics-based approaches to develop novel biomarkers, identify novel "druggable" targets, and to establish primary cell lines for the next three years.
