Aswini Krishnan
PhD Student
I am from Payyoli, a town in the south Indian state of Kerala. After my schooling in Kerala, I did my Bachelors degree in Biotechnology, Chemistry and Botany from Bangalore. I then pursued my masters degree in Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine in the University of Sheffield following which I moved to Glasgow to work at the Beatson Institute of Cancer Research. I then went to India and worked at the Institute of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine where I worked on understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying Fragile X Mental Retardation Syndrome in different regions of the brain.
I am currently a PhD student in Prof. Dr. Krishnaraj Rajalingam's lab. I am investigating the MAPK signalling pathway, which could eventually contribute towards translational approaches in cancer.
