Dr. Inga Maria Melzer

Scientific Administration and Coordination

Inga Melzer was born in Braunschweig and grew up in Northern Germany. She received her Diploma in Biochemistry from the University of Hamburg and did her PhD thesis in Applied Research in Parasitology and Cell Signalling at the Bernhard-Nocht-Institut in Hamburg. In 2007 she moved to Frankfurt am Main to take up a Postdoctoral Researcher position with Prof. Dr. Martin Zörnig at the Georg Speyer Haus where she stayed until 2013, working on the characterization of the antiapoptotic protein AVEN especially in the context of blood and breast cancer development. Inga started her work as a Scientific Coordinator/Administrator in Prof. Rajalingam´s group in January 2015.  She is in charge of  all animal experimental work in the lab. Inga is the mother of one child, Leni, who was born in 2013.
